Counseling Support

Where will your student be in 10 years?
CDM students are entering a pivotal time in their lives when they begin to explore their interests and make decisions that start to set their course in life.

The CDM Foundation believes that our students need support during this critical stage in their lives. The public funding available through the school district for college and career planning is very limited. The CDM Foundation in conjunction with PTA and Boosters provides a beautifully renovated Student Resource Center (SRC) for CDM students to discover college and career opportunities. The Foundation funds the College Planning Coordinator, Mary Russell, who guides and supports our students through the college & career discovery process as well as offers application and essay writing support along with CDM faculty. CDM’s College Counseling team delivers a tremendous program available to all students as well as additional personal assistance to any student that needs it. The College Programs Coordinator works hard to advise, assist and promote CDM students every day.

The CDM’s college program’s staff provides a diverse range of services to the CDM student community. These services include:

  • Individual counseling and guidance available to all students and parents
  • Assistance in course and curriculum planning
  • College planning seminars
  • Four year College Planning Guide
  • College research assistance
  • College campus visits
  • College essay writing seminars (summer before senior year)
  • College financial aid planning
